The Turtle raised by the Foot (TMNT AU) Chapter 1

Events in New Girl in Town:
(Introduction)
Leo was wondering the Rooftops of the city alone for patrolling while Donnie and Mikey patrol the other side of the city. He was getting a little bored until, Foot soilders jumped out of nowhere. "Heh, Foot Clan. You guys just made my night," Leo said as he prepared to fight the soilders. He took one by one of the Foot Clan down with his katanas. Little did he know that there were two more soilders watching him. They came in front of him and Leo couldn't believe his eyes. One was a very beautiful kunoichi hiding her face with a mask and the other one was another mutant turtle just like him, but had emerald eyes, a crack in his shell that is the shape of a lightning bolt, a black mask, and his weapons are gauntlets very similar to Shredder's. "Not bad," the  masked kunoichi said. Leo was very startled. He had a crush on this new girl, "Uh, thanks?" "You might actually be quite a challenge," the black masked turtle said then later through blinding powder straight at Leo. Just as Leo was coughing, the mysterious turtle and kunoichi both kick Leo very far. "Guess not," the kunoichi said, "My name's Karai." "And I'm Nightwatcher," the turtle said. "See you around," they both said as they both vanished.

(Meeting again)
Leo was seen again walking below the streets talking to himself trying to think of where Donnie said to meet until Nightwatcher and Karai appear. "Do you always talk to yourself?" Nightwatcher asked. Leo responded as he turned around to see who was talking to him, "Sometimes I'm the only one who'll listen." "We'll listen when you start begging for your life," Karai said as she grabbed her tanto blade and Nightwatcher extends his gauntlets. Leo grabs one katana as he prepares to fight the two ninjas, "Let's see how well you do against someone who can see." "Let's see how well you do against two ninjas that are better than you," Karai says. "Well, let's see how well both of you do against... Well, let's just go!!" Leo said completely speechless on what to say as the three ninjas prepare to fight. Karai and Nightwatcher were the first to strike. Leo blocked both with his swords and he admitted they were pretty tough to fight. "You're actually pretty good. It's no wonder we haven't even wiped you out yet," Nightwatcher said complimenting Leo. "It's not like Shredder hasn't been trying," replied Leo. "I know right? That's just all he ever talks about. 'Revenge, revenge. Vendetta, vendetta, vendetta," Karai said as she blocked Leo's hits. Leo smirked and asked, "Really, I take it you don't approve?" Nightwatcher quickly responded, "Nope, we're cool with it. We're just saying, he needs a real hobby." Nightwatcher then jumped and tried to strike Leo but failed as he was kicked by him. Then Karai came in and they both started clashing swords at each other for quite some time and jumped on top of a staircase. "You know what? I don't think you and your friend are as bad as you pretend to be," Leo said to Karai. "Oh? What part of swinging a sword at your head do you not understand?" she asked. "On the rooftop, you both could have finished me, but you didn't," Leo responded. Karai then told him, "Because you're the first thing in this city that doesn't bore me." Then she started putting her blade near to his throat while Nightwatcher recovered from that hard kick to catch up on the fight. "Don't tell me the goody-three-toes thing doesn't wear thin after a while," Karai said. Leo responded, "Better than the alternative." "Which is what? To have fun? To cut loose? To live your own life?" Karai asked as the blade got a little closer until Leo slammed her and pointed his sword at her. Karai smiled and said, "Guess I struck a nerve." Leo smirked and asked, "Is it because I beat you both?" Then out of nowhere Nightwatcher landed a powerful kick on Leo and pointed his gauntlet at him. Karai quickly got up and pointed her sword at the Byerly building and told Leo to meet her there at midnight. Nightwatcher releases Leo and catches up to Karai to return to their Master Shredder.

(Busted)
Karai and Nightwatcher come to the throne room of Shredder's lair and bow to him. "Karai, Nightwatcher. I have learned that you both have had the opportunity to dispatch Leonardo," Shredder said facing his students. "Really?" Nightwatcher asked confident. "But you let him go instead." Karai lied to him saying, "That's not true. He escaped." Shredder raises his eyebrow, "I find that hard to believe." Nightwatcher suddenly asked, "Well, didn't he and his brothers escape from you on that encounter?" Shredder started becoming angry, "ENOUGH!!!" the angered voice startled both Karai and Nightwatcher. "Next time you see Leonardo, you must finish him. Understood?" "We understand, Father," Karai answered. Later, Karai was about to leave to meet Leo again but was stopped by her adopted brother, Nightwatcher. "I'm coming with you," he said. "No, I think it's best for you to stay here, I don't want anything happening to you. I promise it'll be just this once," she said as she touched his shoulder for comfort and left. Nightwatcher watched sadly as his adopted sister left. He'll know for sure he'll get Leonardo and his brothers next time.
